First Outing

We had our first outing to Safeway! It was quite an experience but made us feel confident that we can do this!!! We took Jordyn to the dr and she is gaining weight. She now weighs 7 lbs 6oz. Her cheeks are filling out and she is so adorable. We are having lots of fun getting to know all of her sounds and movements. Sean and I are both camped out on the couch and exhausted but we're pulling through and I'm determined that it will start to get easier.

Jordyn Kay Twohy

We had quite a surprise about two weeks ago! Jordyn decided that it was time to grace us with her presence. We are so happy she did and are having the time of our life.

Friday November 14 I started having contractions at school and didn't really realize what they were. I had a dr apt at 4:30 that day so I decided I would stick it out and wait until my dr apt to see what was going on. Well, at about noon, my contractions got closer together and were a lot stronger. So, I split my class and left school at 2:30. By the time I got to the dr office, my contractions were 5 minutes apart and very strong and regular. I was also 6 cm dilated and my sac of water was hanging out and leaking. Jordyn was still breech so my dr called and ambulance to transport me to the hospital! I never thought I would be in an ambulance, let alone minutes from delivering my baby! We got to the hospital at 4:15 and I was 10 cm dialted, water hanging out more, and Jordyn was moving her feet down my pelvis. The only option at this point was an emergency c-section. When I arrived to the hospital, there were about 9 nurses and drs waiting for me, poking me with stuff and getting me prepped for a c-section. I met my dr in the OR at 4:45 and Jordyn was born at 5:03 pm!

She was 7 lbs 2 oz. and 19 3/4 inches long. Very healthy and doing great. We're all recovering and at home now getting used to our new life. Sean and I are both tired but hanging in there. We are SO in love and just admiring her daily.

Another Baby Shower

My friends at school threw a baby shower for me. It was so nice of them to do and they gave very thoughtful gifts.

Sean and I went to a childbirth class which was very informational. Sean learned a lot! He now feels prepared to coach and get us through the birthing process.

We're at the end of 35 weeks and found out at our Dr. apt that little Jordyn is breech! So, her head is the opposite way that it should be at this point. I'm also measuring 4 weeks farther a long that I should at this point. We're scheduled for an ultra sound this week and should find out how much she weighs and see if it's her that is big or me. Based on the ultra sound, we'll start making decisions for delivery. We'll keep you posted!

Running All Over The Place

This weekend was dedicated to running errands and getting last minute things that we think we'll need. I was in desparate need to shop for myself this weekend which I did-it was so comforting! Things are coming a long well...Jordyn is getting bigger and her movements are more rolls than "kicks". It's very strange to see your stomach move and think, "that's a foot!". We have a dr apt on Friday so we'll keep everyone posted on the latest and greatest. I'll be 35 weeks this week! AAAHH!! It's going to be here before we know it!
