We had quite a surprise about two weeks ago! Jordyn decided that it was time to grace us with her presence. We are so happy she did and are having the time of our life.
Friday November 14 I started having contractions at school and didn't really realize what they were. I had a dr apt at 4:30 that day so I decided I would stick it out and wait until my dr apt to see what was going on. Well, at about noon, my contractions got closer together and were a lot stronger. So, I split my class and left school at 2:30. By the time I got to the dr office, my contractions were 5 minutes apart and very strong and regular. I was also 6 cm dilated and my sac of water was hanging out and leaking. Jordyn was still breech so my dr called and ambulance to transport me to the hospital! I never thought I would be in an ambulance, let alone minutes from delivering my baby! We got to the hospital at 4:15 and I was 10 cm dialted, water hanging out more, and Jordyn was moving her feet down my pelvis. The only option at this point was an emergency c-section. When I arrived to the hospital, there were about 9 nurses and drs waiting for me, poking me with stuff and getting me prepped for a c-section. I met my dr in the OR at 4:45 and Jordyn was born at 5:03 pm!
She was 7 lbs 2 oz. and 19 3/4 inches long. Very healthy and doing great. We're all recovering and at home now getting used to our new life. Sean and I are both tired but hanging in there. We are SO in love and just admiring her daily.
